George T. DeBakey has been involved in international business for more than 35 years in the private and public sectors. Mr. DeBakey assists educational firms to expand and develop their business in the U.S. and globally.
During his career, George has served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Commerce and was the first to be serve as the Director of the Technology and Information Industries Office. Mr. DeBakey has also served as the Executive Director of the Information Technology Association of America.
Mr. DeBakey began his career with Rockwell International and served in various position. During his time in Cairo, Egypt. George was the founder of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. He currently serves as a board member of the Smithsonian Science Education Center National Advisory Board, which promotes STEM education and provides science curriculum for K-12 schools.
Mr. DeBakey has degrees from Drake University, American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), and Southern Methodist University. George has taught at various institutes of higher learning and has served on the Advisory Boards for Edweb.net and the Arab American Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
